May 26th – In my hand
In my hand, a post work pint, keeping the spirit of Nick Lamb alive! So a weird day, yesterday we get told that we’re due in at 11, this morning a panicky message at 9.00 that we need to be like yesterday. On the plus side the day went well, a couple of HBB and good conversion.

My shoes today… well some of them. What should be a chilled day off turns out to be somewhat more complex. First off the fence gets painted. Then the washing is done and hung and repeated with the paint spattered clothes. The whole thing was a three cup of tea job.
Favourite colour black and Palooka 5 T-shirt from this year’s Part Time Punks. Back to the late shift… knackered and we’ve only just started.
Trip to the ‘pool today. Start of with a Snack, sausage sarnie. Then on to The Walker Art Gallery. Bit of nice Paul Nash, bit of Johnny Vegas. Thoroughly enjoyed it. They’re advertising a Holly Johnson exhibition down at The Museum of Liverpool Life.
Glimmer 28 and it’s a bee on a thistle! First of the lates. HBB, good conversion and the value seems OK. Day flies. Cook a pasta bake that is kidney friendly, both of us decide it is bland and decide not worth cooking again.
Glimmer 21 and Elsie provides once again. She’s enjoyed playing with Nelson the fly to the extent she’s ripped off one of his eyes. Late up and a bit of light shopping. Pint with herself. Back home and whip up a quick batch of pancakes for lunch. Once again enjoy using the crepe pan I bought a couple of years ago. Simple pleasures and all that jazz.
Glimmer 14 and I’m in Kawa’s and taking photos of photos. Great coffee as usual and the first of a series of lates. Day goes OK, not brilliantly but you can only deal with what it deals you.
Monday and it’s a chilled day, C off so we have a pint and generally relax. Feels like a Sunday! Glimmer 12 is a pleasant day with herself!
Glimmer 7 and on a sunny day, I find myself looking up the noses of the heads on the Mill on the way into work.
Lines…. it’s a brick. First of the lates and the usual greeting with Liberty of 3 more days! Bit of a slow start, the hardest HBB supported by Ash. Generally other than value think it was an alright day but a cheeky add line may have saved me. A few mobile lines help too.
