April 19 Glimmer 19
Glimmer 19 and time to try cooking something nice from the Kidney Friendly recipes. Scones made with diet lemonade. Bit dubious until we eat ’em and they’re great.
Tonight we celebrate our anniversary and my birthday at Il Sappore. Unfortunately I’m not feeling great and end up hurling. Whole thing is a bit of a fiasco. I owe C a nice meal.

Monday and it’s a chilled day, C off so we have a pint and generally relax. Feels like a Sunday! Glimmer 12 is a pleasant day with herself!
Easter Sunday and Glimmer 11 celebrates the fact I’ve finally cracked the cooking of Onion Bhaji after several years of failed attempts! Delicious too! Cook a pork roast for the day.
C still crook, had a rough nights sleep, get up manage to trip the fuses with the toaster, make coffee and that at least offers a moment of rest. Sort out the fuses, and C comes downstairs to tell me off. Nip to the shop for water for C and job’s a good ‘un. Slowly sort the roast after a sarnie for lunch.
A better day both on sales and value. No Ash and ducked out of the bowling with the rest of the team.
Back into work today and value is shite but a cheeky £90 addline rescues things a tad. Feeling knackered. Day started well with an arsehole parked in front of the gate so I couldn’t get the bike out.
Sunday morning and a lazy start to the day. Coffee at the coffee shop and then a wee shop followed by a visit to the Tom and Gerry for a beer. Back home and it’s out into the jungle at the front to clear dead bits and ivy.
Sunday and I’m in… at least there is Pizza. Phone the boy and Mum as usual, watch the Throw Down and Call the Midwife. More importantly home to meal cooked by C including dumplings. Love ’em!
Tuesday, lates and start at Kawa’s.
Well the soda bread experiment was a monumental failure.
