Glimmer 21Glimmer 21 and Elsie provides once again.  She’s enjoyed playing with Nelson the fly to the extent she’s ripped off one of his eyes.  Late up and a bit of light shopping. DetailLazy start to another day off, not up till 9.40’ish.  Wander into Wigan with C who is looking for shoes.  First port of call is the market where she deems the shoes too frumpy.  A brief coffee as I scarf the rest of my tabs.  Then into the Grand Arcade.  Shoezone (no wide fit), Clarks (too frumpy) fail to provide.  In desperation it’s Schuh and we find some Doc Marten’s she loves, Klarna makes them affordable.

Nip into The Raven in search of lunch, first time we’ve been in since it changed hands and was refurbed.  Unimpressed we don’t stay.  So we wander into Gallimore’s (later learn it is shutting down on Sunday) and have another of their superb steak baguettes.

Home and a cuppa before wandering off to Lidl.  Pint in the Lickers on the way back and bake scones and cook pancakes for tea.  Wash up and watch old films with herself.
