3rd January – A New Habit
Struggled with this pic. Not in the habit of picking up new habits.
Been a day of two halves. Halve 1 the sensible half, we visit Nationwide and move money around to sensible places. That’ll be the most grown up thing I’ll do all year! Come home, get lost as a result of a road accident ahead but muddle through. Then go shopping. Gain a task for the next day off (Thursday following the recent shift change) in that I have to fetch meds (well hopefully mine should be ready by then anyway. Second half of the day a gentle cook a bit of a chase around for photos and a swift ale.
Bit peed off with the shift change tbh. More because it lacked logic in that they’ve dropped a week in the pattern but then shifted the pattern back a week. So weekend next week is on and we might have a bed arriving. The whole thing is a pain as a result.

You know what your getting whenever you reach into Mark’s back catalogue. Good time, no messing, garage, surf, rockabilly tunes. It’s like a set of comfy trousers, reassuringly comforting, supportive in the right places and with the odd dubious stain about it.

Shapes in the clouds. Up and prepare a tomato sauce for tonight’s dinner. Not overly happy with it but it’ll have to do. Work and it’s not a stellar day.
Something Old
Accidental Art from the seat of the toilet at the Robin Hood. First day of earlies and it’s unremittingly grim.
Weekend Vibes and it’s Part Time Punks weekend and it’s a trip to Leeds. Begins well when I miss the bus, cancelled train and it’s travel as normal. I’ve built in time redundancy so not stressed. Get to Leeds and it’s off for lunch in Kirkgate Market. Cracking veggie thali washed down with a Mango Lassi. Then off to find the Airbnd. Positives, it’s central, negatives, how do I get into the fucking place and the host is not the most communicative.
Last of the lates and don’t think the value is going too well, sales are though. Glimmer 3 and it’s tempus fugit and all that jazz.
1st of the lates and I’m struggling. Thank gawd for Kawa’s. Still struggle with a late start, too early to do much, too late to not do something.
