Glimmer 24 and stamps with Betty that must really piss off Charlie are still on sale! Needed to post some stuff to HMRC for herself. Last of three shifts before being off and keep the calls down and the sales up. Shit value like but hopefully everything will balance.
Day off. Day starts with me taking the piss… literally to the GPs. Whereupon NHS IT strikes, they have to hand write the sample form because the printer is dead. On the way up a couple of photos. Need to look at them to see if they are prompt suitable. Jump a bus back home.
Herself off work, still recovering from Asthma attack. Take a wee dander to get a photo for tomorrow in the afternoon.
Pump up the tyres and sort rear reflector on the bike. Usual day off preparation for first early of the week.
In other news there is some movement on the Roots allotment situation. They’ve announced it will be 16 minutes away from Ashton… presumably by car, ‘cos perish the thought you wouldn’t have a car. As long as it’s reasonable cycle ride, I’m in! Looks like a £40 upfront then for a baby patch about a tenner a month. Not looking for anything huge, it’s not like I have a clue what I’m doing! As much as anything it’s a healthy thing to do on a day off for the old mental health.
Last day off for a wee while and it’s a busy one. Laundrette day, change pedals day, bake custard pie, make mince and potato pie, give the cat her flea and worming treatment. Hoover and clean the oven and kitchen.
So Laundrette had a dryer hog, it started pissing down as I left. Cat avoided the pills. But on the plus side the custard pie seems to have worked. Mince and potato pie is a work in progress.
Feeling really shit, hit the booze to deal with it, not certain that that’s a good idea. That being said I just continue.

In other news I end up chatting to someone who works at SLAIS and who knew the McIlwaine’s. Ia has apparently shuffled of this mortal coil which is sad. Turns out she has a Wikipedia page the obit is here.
Bus home was a bit of an adventure, came home via Winstanley, no idea why, was a touch weird but what the heck.
Photo today was a Sunday snap when I got beyond a set of gates that are usually shut. I guess a little light urbex. Either way it was interesting and the string of lights set things off nicely.
Tomorrow’s prompt is ‘found’ so will have to channel my inner Marcel Duchamps. Be interesting to see what sort of found objects I come across.
