26th June Unread books that deserve better
Unread books that deserve better – Hurricane bought in desperation because I was out and about with nothing to read the other day. The Home Recording Handbook is the latest Newell, a fabulous and easy read that I’m digesting a chapter at a time.
Day one of Remember The Milk in anger and it proves useful, a busy day with lots to do and breaking it down an element at a time helps. Need to reread my way round GTD though.
- Capture: Collect all open loops, commitments, and ideas in a designated system, like a notebook or to-do list app.
- Clarify: Process each captured item to determine if it’s actionable. If not, archive, delegate, or trash it.
- Organize: Arrange actionable items into relevant categories like projects, next actions, calendar, waiting for, and someday/maybe lists.
- Reflect: Regularly review your system to ensure it remains current and relevant, and to identify priorities.
- Engage: Execute tasks based on your current context, using the organized system to guide your actions.

A masterpiece (sarcasm) – a festival of crisps, left field and potentially brilliant and awful at the same time.
The weirdest thing in my house – watching Elsie get bothered by this snail.
Too many mugs, there’s always too many mugs. Back in for the last early of the week and then we have 4 lates before the bliss of 4 days off. Ash is away this week so Lib’ll step up.
What I should be doing… busy day off, all sorts of financial chicanery involves a trip to Wigan. A coffee in the former WH Smiths, nip to the GPs on herself’s behalf and a devil’s haircut. Pint with herself.
A snack I didn’t share.
Found it like this… after a couple of hours in the oven. Fathers day apparently, card sent to the ‘rents. Cal wishes me a happy fathers day and Stephen and Ryan supply beer and chocolate. C supplies beer. All of it is much appreciated.
An object out of place
Oopsie daisy … it’s Friday the 13th.
Makes no sense… the desire of the cat to explore a box… any box.
