21st March A Sign

A SignFirst day off and I’ve big plans for the day, lots of tidying up but a wee kip. Rudely interrupted by a call from herself, she’s had an asthma attack so it’s onto the bus for me to fetch her from school. Totally changes the nature of the day. Slip into carer mode. Nip for a pint. As I’m in the pub Ash asks for bonus slips. Something is up.

Growth

7th March Growth

GrowthDay one off after a hard week and I’m knackered.  Up late, brekkie at the Tom and Gerry (Miner’s Benedict).  Then away to the Chemist’s to fetch the meds for the pair of us.

Bit of housework with the yodelling hoover in the living room and kitchen.  Act as Mrs Mopp in the kitchen and hallway.

Meet C off the bus, into the Lickers for a pint with herself, meet Geoff.  Then a wee trip to Lidl and back via a pint of Porter (Boudicca) at the Tom and Gerry.  Cook and chill in front of Top of the Pops.  Seems to be a Depeche Mode night.  Influences the old downloads!

Free Choice

28th Free Choice

Free ChoiceFriday and I’m given a list.  But first its time to sort the panniers on the bike in daylight.  Discover I’d put them on back to front.  Relatively easy to sort.  Pop in the bike locks and job’s a good’un.

Onto the list. First off I am sent to the doctors to fetch blood forms, pots to piss in and to rearrange the time of the telephone consult.  Then to book a bloods appointment, ring the people concerned only to discover I have to book it online.  So online I go.  Next a trip to the post office to send Christine’s birthday card.

Next to sorting the pedals on the bike.  Much easier than I thought it’d be.

N

14th February N

NDay off and it’s been a busy day. Off to Wigan to fetch the bike. Get off and nip into Go Outdoors… third set of handgrips and new daysack, (zips on the last are pissing about so bin beckons). Coffee at Kawa’s. Train, fetch meds for Elsie and then to Aldi. Get stuff for tonight’s tea. Discover it’s only C and myself. Cook us a bolognese. Then off for a new Qi charger, the bits I forgot, grab a quick pint, then a haircut. Go to find C a wheatbag, proves to be a more problematic thing than it should be. Sort handgrips (the hairspray tip works!) and cook.

Pre-order the new Jetstream Pony album. Meet C off bus and a wee drop in the hand in the lickers. Back and food.
